alright my friend has a 03 silverado with a 4.8L in it and hes going to a 6L and we were talking about taking his 4.8L and putting it into my 98 LT 4x4 4dr blazer and he knows alot about this kinda stuff and hes got alot of friends who have done this stuff. but anyways to the question will the engine link into the transmission? if so will the 4x4 still work like it does? and will have to pull much of the car or just be able take the hood off and make the swap? and will the stock exhaust still fit or will have to upgrade that?

 

It should bolt up to the transmission without issue. The oil pan and electronics may be fun though. You will definitely want to upgrade the exhaust.
