4wd issues

Default 4wd issues

I have a 92 k1500 blazer, periodically while driving i get a banging noise and the 4wd selector pops out of 2wd and goes into nuetral on the floor. i dont think 4wd fully engages when put into 4wd, it drives but there is noise coming from the drive syystem, any ideas. in the book it points to the selector on the floor but b4 taking it apart im looking for some advise/ knowlegde.

Sounds like the transfer case shifter is not adjusted properly. Your service manual should run through the adjustment procedure. If it doesn't, let us know.

thanks at least taking it apart to adjust doent seem like it will be for a shot it the dark.
