I have a 3 button electronic 4wd on my 1996 blazer
I had to get up someones driveway and put it in 4hi and when i got to the top went to to put it in 2hi i could hear the actuator motor make noise but it wasnt like normal it sounded really weak and wouldnt go into 2hi until i eventually didnt hear anything at all after hitting the button 3 times. When i hit the 2hi button i hear the relay clicking in the dash and the light flashes but nothing happens and when i hit 4lo it just blinks. If im going over 70 sometimes a really bad grinding noise starts happening and doesnt go away until i slow down to exactly 25 but it doesnt happen all the time. I was fairly sure in their driveway that i had gotten it out of 4wd and the light had just stayed on but im not sure. Ive checked all my vacuum lines and my vacuum actuator under the battery and they all are fine. There has also been transmission fluid that dumps out every once in a while and goes directly onto the y pipe exhaust under the bell housing of the transmission and it seems like its coming from the top of the transmission but ive checked my fluid multiple times and im not low.
