Default 4wd not working

Hi all. This is my first time on this site and first post. I just bought a 2000 Zr2 Blazer. I mainly bought it for those rough winter days and to haul my boat in the summer. I was told up front from the previous owner that the 4wd wasn't working. He was sure that it was the transfer case motor and had already removed it. I found a different t-case motor that was taken out of a truck with 76,000 miles on it. I put it on and nothing. The one thing I noticed though that none of my 4wd indicator lights on the switches are on. I have nothing and nothing happens when pushing the buttons. I thought that it might be the control module but I want to get some other people's opinions on what it might be. Bare in mind that I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to vehicles and working on them so any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Brad

Thanks for the reply. I did the search and am still trying to decipher a lot of the info. I have decided to replace the tccm and was just wondering if anyone knew which wire was the ground wire in coming from the plug. I want to make sure I have a good ground connection before hooking up the other tccm. Thanks.
