4x4 issues
Hello all.
I have a 98 blazer, 2 door LS model. I went to put it into 4 wheel drive today and nothing. No lights on the push buttons, no actuating sounds, and no 4 wheel drive. Tried it in Park and in Neutral. Any Ideas on where to start with this.
Thanks

I have a thought and you guys with experience with these vehicles can let me know if it carries any weight. I am thinking that this could be and electrical problem. As I said I have not lights on the push buttons for the 4 wheel drive. I also have no reading lights. I attributed it to burnt out bulbs but could it be and electrical issue. I checked the 4 wheel drive when I bought it around 6 month ago and it worked fine.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks
Chad

Try cleaning your connections, start at the transfer case, mine does this, but it sometimes will work, somtimes wont.
When you first turn your key to the on position, do the dash lights blink once?
and have you checked your tccm fuse under the dash?
BTW, forum rules state that you must wait 24 hours before you bump your thread if it does not have any responses.

The llink should help, it may also be as simple as a bad selector switch.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I found the problem thanks to the great posts and forums here. It was the number 8 10amp fuse on the driverside fuse box. changed it out and 4x4 works great. Thanks for all your input and for a great forum.. I have another issue I will try to explain in the correct section. Thanks again
