Does anyone know if there is a mod to switch to 4x4 in a 85 s10 blazer, My s10 has no vacuman to switch it into 4x4, and I can't get to the vacum switch to replace it any help would be nice thank you

 

Should be just about the easiest thing to change. I sits on the front drive housing.

 

I know where it is, but the protection plate won't come off. But what I really wanted to know is if anyone knows of a way to bypass it and not use the vacuman line. Thanks for your reply. Right now I just need to beable to drive it in the winter. I don't have the money to do a restore right now. I also have a 63 stu Lark, but no money lol.

 

There are kits available to eliminate the vacuum actuator and go to a push - pull cable to engage the front drive. They are like $300.00 OR there are some threads posted (with pictures) on this website that show you how to do it yourself for about $25.00.
