Recently bought an 88’ s10 blazer 4x2 4.3 tbi

anyway after doing research and finding out that the pickup controls injectors and spark i replaced that and it will crank up, However I needed to do some research on why it wouldn’t idle cold it would crank up when giving it gas and die when u let off figured out that its my throttle position sensor or so i think… I pulled the plug off and cranked it up and it idled and i could give it some gas but then it woulf struggle and die/backfire and die so I decided that i would unplug it get it cranked up let it idle and then give it gas while i plug the sensor back in and it had no issues revving up I unplugged it when i let it idle down and it stayed running… now im new to messing with chevys I've messed with fords a lot and the obvious answer would be the tps is bad but wanted a second opinion before buying one and wasting money
