i have the 4.3 tbi in my 89 s10 blazer, what needs to be done to accomidate a 4 barrel on my v6? gonna do my own research but everthing helps. im guessing intake manifold, maybe heads? i will add that im gonna rebuild this entire motor so it might be best to wait to do this til the rebuild right?

 

Why go bakwards. A carburettor is not the thing to have on your truck. Unless of course your going to put six stromberg 97s with a purple manifold and some saxaphone exhaust headders. You could also put a pair of bomber seats and rusted wire wheels and white walls. Now if ya could get a Faifbanks magneto.for a six .....

 

intake manifold (which is like 300 bucks for the 4.3),carb,700r4 bracket for carb,and fuel regulator. If you are going to run ac,you may have some idle issues etc at idle since there wont be a iac to help anymore when the ac is engaged. Also enjoy engine lights coming on too.
