Default 90 blazer s10 tahoe oil problem.

hello everybody, i've just signed up so i hope i posted this subject in the right place.

I own a 1990 chevy blazer s10 tahoe (Gas) 4.3 6 Cyl with barley 93000 miles on it. The problem is with the oil pressure. it goes really down even at high RPM's and even when the heat is normal. I'm suspecting a problem with the gauges, since the speedometer is digital and it already has some problems , because sometimes the pressure is good, and sometimes it goes to the bottom, but I do not notice any sound from the engine. I'm thinking to try to connect a separate gauge for the oil, but i cant figure out where the oil sensor is. So if anyone has any idea about the problem, please help.

sorry for the long description, and thanks in advance.

The oil pressure sensor switch should be on the top of the engine toward the driver's side of the distributor.

rriddle3, thanks for the help. Anyway, does anyone knows what could cause the described problem? Any ideas or suggestions?

The reason for telling where the sensor is located was so you would know where to connect a mechanical gauge to verify the oil pressure. That would rule out a problem with the sensor. That would be the first step.
