So I have a 91 s-10 blazer it’s got plenty of issues but it’s my first car and kinda just learning about it as I go but a while ago it started not wanting to run unless I gave it gas and would die when I’d take it out unless I was giving it gas sometimes it’s idle for a bit but not for long the only time it’ll idle is when I first start it after giving it some gas or turning the ignition back and fourth a couple times but it stills idles rough I’m not sure if it could be fuel presser or fuel pump or another issues just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issues and if they’re are more ways to diagnose the issue

 

This can be many things. Let’s start simple:

make sure you have a new air cleaner and no restrictions

new fuel filter

clean the throttle body

Clean the EGR valve if equipped

clean the IAC valve

if that doesn’t do it then we move on to testing:

iac valve
tps
fuel pump
map sensor
oxygen sensor
fuel injectors
