92 S10 Blazer Loss of Acceleration Intermittently
Okay, so I bought a 92 S10 blazer about a month ago. Im the 3rd owner. Second owner said he didn't drive it much and that he hadn't done any maintenance besides fixing a vacuum leak that was keeping the 4 wheel drive from engaging. So up to this point I have done an initial flush in the coolant because it was diiiiiirty. Still needs another flush. I changed the oil and filter, and then changed the oil and filter again after about 200 miles bc I decided I was unhappy with the oil and filter I installed that I had lying around, I also thought I would clear out any loose gunk that got loosened up. I tried to get to the oil sensor because it is being wonky, and I was able to get to it and found it to have have oil all over the connector so I'm sure it's bad, but I didn't have the tool to replace at the time, and I still don't. I checked the egr bc I was having a lot of smoke, i cleaned it and replaced it. it didn't seem to be clogged really. I have spark plugs and new spark plug wires to install eventually. I am getting a new battery because i think it's badish and it's a cheap battery that's 4 years old. Oh and I filled my gas the other day to realize that there is a hole in the top of the gas tank because it overflowed and leaked from the tank when I filled it all the way. Anyways, I took her offroading the other day and it went great, but after we got back it started almost like going into limp mode it feels at time. I will give it gas only for it to not accelerate at all. It feels like it's not getting anymore gas when I'm gassing it. Like it's getting the extra air but not gas. It also has died when it's having one of these fits, but then it kind of gets resolved after a bit, it's so wierd. I feel like it's a fuel issue of some sort but I don't want to just replace everything and I'm not sure what the common issues are on this thing. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.
