93 s10 blazer HELP please
Whats going on people, heres the situation. In the winter I turned a corner and she jus died. Thought maybe fuel line freeze up, so i bought the stuff put it in still no start. Tried some starting fluid and yes she wanted to start. Well I left it set all night to have it towed in the morning. When I went back down to it the next day, it fired right up. So I drove very little for acouple of days and started to get the trust back. On my way to work it just flat out died again while driving. This time it had to be towed. So it set for acouple of months out in the cold, and for giggles I charged the battery got in turned the key---- it started. It has been setting since december or early january, and everytime I go out there it starts fine. However I have no trust again, and no extra cash for towing. It has the 4.3 vortec in it. Anyone have any suggestions for me? AS I would love to drive this vehicle again. Thanks for your time.
Im assuming you dont have a Check Engine Light.
That being the case most likely your problem is in the fuel system. Its the only system the puter doesnt monitor. If something in the fuel system was failing you wont get a CEL. If you have a CEL, get the codes read and post up.
You need to verify your have good fuel presssure, search the forum, plenty of threads on it. I think there is one in the DIY section too. Post up with more questions.

actually I do have the check light on, it has always been since I have owned it, I had it checked once and was told that it was the egr. Also now I have check gages on, when i turn the key on my temp gauage shoots all the up. When i was changing spark plugs i broke a connector that plugged onto a sensor on the drivers side bank, its hard to reach right by the steering shaft, does anyone know if that is the temp or knock sensor?

Knock sensor. Your temp sensor is on the passenger side. Sounds like you have an intermittant fuel pump problem. Had the same thing on a 91 S truck and my 94 Blazer. Changed the pumps in them and they ran like a champ from then on. They would quit a the most inconvenient times.

Man it sounds just like the injector connector to me, its gotten me towed 2 times now. Pop off your plenum and change the 8 dollar injector harness for a new tight one. Fuel erodes the rubber insert that makes it tight, and when it flops around you get no fuel and stall out.
To test this theory, open your hood, start the engine, then look down under the throttlebody for the BLUE and RED wires that come out of the intake, grab those and push pull them a little and jostle them around, i bet you just stalled the truck... Time to open up the upper intake and change the harness. Buy 4 little I-3 (1MM) size ORings at the parts shop and put them on the 2 injector prongs, 2 on each one before snapping on the harness. Tight as new now and you can trust her again. You can also inspect for any leaks while you are in there.

Hi while I'm on here my friend has a blazer just like mine, he was wanting me to ask if anyone had an idea of what his problem is. When his blazer sets for awhile like over night, he has to give it a shot of starting fluid to get it running, then it runs just fine until he lets it set again. Any information will be greatly appreciated, thanks
Hi everyone, well I have changed the sending unit and the pump and I believe that has fixed it. I have drove about 10 miles and it didnt quit on me yet. Now I have a new problem with my temperature gauge, bout a month ago I turned the key on and it shot all the way to hot, I unplugged the connector to the sensor and the needle dropped to cold. Well I plugged it back in and it seemed to work when it wanted to. I have changed the temp sensor today and it only rose about 3/16 of an inch when it was hot, so it is not reading accurately. Does anyone have any ideas that might help me out? Thanks for your time.
