Have you measured the actual temperature of the coolant?

 

No I have not, but when my wife started it up today it shot all the way past hot, then she drove roughly 20 miles and the gauge dropped to 210 right in the middle, I think thats the number she said. Tomorrow I am going to change the temp sender unit and hope for the best. I will post my luck.

 

Have you changed the thermostat yet? Made sure there is no air in the system?
