Default 94 4.3l running fast and getting hot quick

hello i just put a 94 gmc 4.3 vortec into my 93 blazer. the vin letter is "w". the engine heats up quick, rear of engine gets hot faster. the rpms creep up when given full throttle. cant advance the timing past 10* ATDC w/o the engine racing up past 4,000rpm. timing marks are correct, and timing chain is good. vaccum is at between 3-4, found no leaks around intake. compression reads as follows: 1-145, 2-142, 3-134, 4-142, 5-140, 6-150. also brand new heads were installed before i recieved the engine. the question is why is is getting hot so quick? and why is there no pick up when throttle is applied?

So it will not idle?... If so, have you verified that there are no vacuum leaks?

Compression looks good.

Propane works better than soapy water...

Yeah, soapy water will not find vacuum leaks since the engine is sucking in air at a vacuum leak, not blowing it out.
