Default 94' 4L60e internal swap to 96' 4L60e casing???

Hello all!!! I am new to this forum but not new to blazers or general auto mechanics.. HOWEVER... this ones got me along with many others STUMPED. I recently purchased a beautiful 94' full size Blazer 4x4. The transmission was rebuilt not to long ago. However the front U-joint snapped and swung around, smacked my 4L60e, and cracked the entire casing in half. Therefore i am in need of a trans casing alone, but have yet to find a 94' core close enough to pick up. I already have a 96' 4L60e. I know that there are several differences in the trans internals themselves. What i need to know is what all is necessary to swap my good rebuilt 94' internals into my 96' casing?? If not possible what would stop me? Thanks in advance and PLEASE only respond if you have vast knowledge of these paticular circumstances. I have searched literally ALL day and finally decided i would be best to ask this question directly rather than getting "close to" but "not quite there" type answers that I've been able to find thus far!
