94 blazer with Vortec Motor

Default 94 blazer with Vortec Motor

Need a guide on how to remove and install a starter. Im pretty sure its common sense, but I would just like to be sure. The starter is bad.

lol i was going to post a topic on this cause i aslo need some help.

it is near the front passenger tire.
make sure positive batterey cable is unplugged
unscrew the wire the connects to the unit itself
unscrew the two bolts that hold it up. just look you will know which once.
now this is where i got confused
i cant figure out how to get the dam thing out of its place
i try lifting the side the is closest to front bumper then pulling the part that turns the gear out and then it gets stuck

i have the same motor, you have to go thru the wheel well to getthe wires off be patient. i took a saws all and cut a lil of the alum bell housing about an 1/2 in to a inch then the starter will fall right down. or you can take the motor mount out and jack the motor up till the tit of the starter is cleared. its up to you . i used the saw cuz i didnt want to screw with the mount. made it alot easier
