Default 94 Jimmy no 4W high in cold weather

I bought a 94 Jimmy SLE about 3-1/2 years ago and every winter, when the temp hits about 40 or less, my 4W high stops working (perfect for snowy roads!). 4W low works in any temp. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Also, I had changed the slave cyl. and clutch master when I got the truck, and ever since then it grinds into third gear unless I let the rpm's come down. Even then it still grinds sometimes. I tried bleeding the system about 6 times now and nothing. I thought it might go away when I had the clutch changed but that didn't fix it either. Again, any advice on these problems would be extremely helpful, Thanks.

Your transfer case issue sounds like an encoder motor fault. Check out the Tech Article (DIY) section for a few posts on the NV233 transfer case.

As far as you transmission grinding into 3rd, sounds like the 3rd gear syncros have gone.
