Default 94 no action when key nturned to start

When the key is turned to start, there is no response. Battery fully charged, fuses check o.k.

check *S* terminal wire on stater and have someone check for 12 volts with the key turned to start, if yo uhave 12 volts (if not you have a open in the *S* wire and that needs to be repaired), try tapping the starter with a hammer(if this works you will need a new started due to bad brushes).

There is 12 volts to the starter but solenoid doesn't pull in (no click). I need schematic of starting circuit to find wiring info (neutral safety switch, etc).

thanks for suggestions/comments.

There is 12V to what post on the starter solenoid?

There should be +12V constant to the large post that connects to the battery. When the key is turned to the 'START' position, there should be +12V on the small post of the solenoid that runs to the starting circuit. If there isn't, then you have a problem with something in the starting circuit.

But please clarify where you are reading 12V...

Well, there is a park/neutral safety switch located on the steering column of the automatic vehicles, yet that schematic does not show it (nor does the schematic in my references).
