I have the Electric push button 4 wheel drive in my 94-s10 blazer It has done some really weird stuff for instance When i am driving the 4 hi light it lit up. But it is not in 4 wheel drive it will usually not engage into 4 hi Only very few times. When i push the button i hear the transfer case repeatedly Making noise and the light flashes and i hear a clicking sound but no go. I can get it into 4 Lo but then getting it out is a nightmere took me atleast 30 minutes to get it to disengage one snowy evening. Replaced the fuse it worked for 5 minutes just fine went in and out no problem and since has quit working again im at a loss Recently My A/c and heater also wont turn on and warm air is felt coming from the vents on the ground.. I really need 4 wheel drive help thanx..




Also forgot to mention that When im driving and the 4 wheel light is on if i push it it goes off i have noticed the button will get pretty hot And also in order for me to even get my truck in 4 wheel drive at all i have to shut it off and have the key in the on posistion it will not engage or even give me a response if the engine is running.

 

Does it blow a fuse when you hit it or no?


take the motor off the transfercase and hit the button and see if it does the same thing. My old 95 did the same thing, all i did was take teh motor off hit the button and pout it back on and it worked. Till it burnt in the garage. lol but it was as if the motor was bound some how and taking it off freed it up. Thats my .2 let us know if that works or not.

 

It was working fine with a new fuse for about 3 minutes then it went back and did the same crap.
