94 S10 Acting up, possibly transmission? Need expert help!
My 1994 S10 Blazer Tahoe LT is in excellent shape for its age, but recently started doing something screwy that nobody can put a finger on. The plain symptoms are that the car is having what I can best describe as some "resistance" in what feels like the front driver's side area--when I turn steeply or occasionally when I switch gears, it feels as if something is caught and pulling. Here's the big one: several times throughout my normal 20-minute commute, when I begin accelerating from a stop, it'll do the same "catching and pulling" feeling, followed by a big, loud, metallic "drop". The car seemed to be driving fine otherwise, but that jerky "drop" feels pretty bad. Today it seemed the worst it's ever been and it felt like it wasn't driving so well. Got my oil changed last month and it has a full tank of gas. No other obvious problems. I'm afraid this is a trans issue.
Any experts out there that can help me do some troubleshooting or have any idea as to what it might be?

wheres the drop noise coming from? If you feel something dragging, first thing i would do is jack up the truck, spin the front wheels and see if they are dragging. could be a siezed caliper etc. also, put the trans in neutral and spin the rear tires while jacked up. if its really hard to do so your rear end might be going out.
