It is a 2wd. 138000 on blazer for 6 months it has been saying up . It worked for about a month in January and then acted up again. Have recently changed tranny filter did not fix

Why is my tranny not allowing me to use first gear or go into overdrive

So the Replacement trans has how many mile on it ? Not the Blazer. For six months what ? Not sure what you are trying to tell us ?

For six months the tranny has not been able to go into first gear it starts out In second no matter where the shifter is located and it won't go into overdrive. Just uses second and drive. Is original tranny I believe have not put new one in. My abs light just started to come on today as well don't know if it has anything to do with it

Abs is another problem.

I belive there is a little box on the side of the tranny it controls the shifting and play with the linkage ajust it up and down then try to see if it will go into frist. I had this prob. on other rides. Ive never really look at the tranny on my blazer. But it should be about the same. When they put the tranny in they might have not done the proper ajustments you will need. Hope this helps ya.
