Hose is lower than the fuel tank. Gravity is doing its job.
It will either stop when the fuel tank is empty or In the past i have taken a length of rubber hose and blew air into the line to push all the fuel back into the tank.

 

what happens if I just cut it where it connects to the filter with wire cutters?

 

you are replacing the filter also ,Right?

 

Yes if needed, I think the filter is good but I'm not sure how to check it. Do u think it needs to be changed?

Ok looks to me like the end of the filter with the twisted line on it, is slightly bent upward. May need a new filter.... Also I noticed, where the twisted line was connected, which is the line that shoots fuel from the gas tank, it's say "OUT" on it... Was this filter put on backwards??? Fuel from the tank shoots fuel "IN" from that direction, not out!

 

1. i would replace that filter either way they are cheap
2. it says "out" so you know which direction to install the filter if you put it on backwards it will not run correctly

 

What's the size wrench is the tubing bolt and filter bolt ? I have it all together, just need to tighten it down...

 

it's been awhile but i believe the line nut is 5/8 and the filter side is 13/16 try to use line wrenches if you can less chance of rounding them off

 

hers an idea, try different ones till you find the one that fits!
