95,no spark from cap
hello all,i been searching your forum for an answer, but cant find excactly what im looking for-i just got a 95 on trade that didnt start, guy put alot of new parts on it (distributor, cam position sensor, crank sensor,coil,plugs/wires,cap and button) turned out to be ignition control module. so i got it,was running fine, parked it at home, got in an hour later and wouldnt start, cranks fine, has gas,but no spark to plugs, coil is firing just fine, even put cap above a ground and its shooting fire where it contacts rotor button-but i cannot get any spark out of distributor cap to wires, all is new and clean, button looks new,i read about cam position sensor causing issue, but it has new one(im aware some sensors are faulty new tho) and seems if its firing thru coil and cap i should at least get a lil fire to the plugs.....any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
already tried all that, its like its arcing to distributor inside cap,but distributor itself has a plastic/composite body,im pretty baffled
im not sure if this helps,buuuttt.....right before i shut it off while it WAS running,i had it in 4hi to get up my driveway, now its been sittin a while (prior to me owning it)so some of the electrical is goofy(happens sometimes) i tried to see if it would go into 4lo,just to see if it would,well....all the button lights turned off(2wd,4hi,4lo) like it was stuck between 4hi and 4lo,and it would switch or light up any button i pushed, took me a couple tried with key on after it WOULD NOT start to get it to click to 2wd again
