Default 96 blazer not getting gas?

I have a 96 blazer with the 4.3 litre. cannot get it to start now. i disconnected the fuel line at the filter and when i turned it over, it spit gas from the filter. used starting fluid, ran until fluid ran through. no clue what it could be... any ideas?

Run a fuel pressure test as described in the Tech Article on the subject and report back with the results (psi reading with key-on engine off as well as the psi reading 10 minutes after the pump shuts off).

I agree with the above post, But what happens when you remove the filter completely. Does the fuel pump, pump gas at all? Maybe a plugged fuel filter.
Just my thoughts
