I agreed to help a buddy change his leaky heater core in his 97 jimmy. What kind of job did I get myslef into? Dash removal or a few bolts on the fire-wall?
Thanks all

best case couple of bolts, worst case you have to pull the whole dash apart to get to the plenum housing and take that whole monster out of there. I would defenitly buy a repair manuel at this point becasue I beleve on some vehicles you have to remove the evaporator core also witch brings a whole lot of other things to deal with.

i just did it on an 02, had to pull dash then heater case, remove access cover, fyi u have to cut around the blower resistor cover and remove it. theres a bolt u need to get out thru that hole. in order to pull the case. any questions feel free. urs may be a lil diff than mine tho. but im glad to help.
