Default 97 motor into 95 blazer?

I want to put a 97 drivetrain into a 95 s blazer. I want the obd11 option as well as it is much stronger then my 95.

I know I need the computer and likely the harness, anything else? what kind of issues can I expect? anyone else done this?

I'm swaping the motor and trans.

Thanks
Jason

If your taking the engine/tranny as one unit with the puter it should be a simple swap. All three of them work as one unit. You'll need to wiring harness too.

As for getting the OBDII, I don't know. I think you will have issues trying to switch from OBDI to OBDII. There is another puter that controls body functions and is seperate then the engine/tranny puter.

Like Tim said, a lot changed in '96 with the OBD2 change over. This is something that you'll probably just need to try...

And please do not double post. Your other thread will be deleted.

By OBD2 do you mean that you switched it over?? Because a stock '95 is not OBD2, but some messed up combination of OBD1 & OBD2...

So this chore don't sound very promising does it. lol, it never is. I guess I could just drop my topend onto that motor and scratch the obd11 idea.

That would be your best option. '95 is an oddball year.
