98 4l60e internal filter issue & inline filter help req
98 blazer, just hit 200k - 2 issues I'd like to get advice on.
#1. changing fluid & filter. pulled old filter out, bushing stayed in, new filter is super sloppy in the bushing and will not stay up.
read online that there are issues with the bushings that come with filter kit do not always fit so hoping to use the old one. are there any acceptable cheats to get the new
one to fit ?
#2. advised by a tranny tech to add an inline filter to the return hose. done this on all my vehicles but this one only has metal lines, no rubber. I know I can cut into it
and add hose to either side of the filter. not sure about the location though. included a pic of filter & underneath car where tranny lines are visible and workable. if I
install filter on the top line there, it will basically be to the right and a little lower than the starter. is this an ok place to put it ?
Thanks & appreciate any help I can get.

The extra transmission filters that I've installed there wasn't a preference in witch line to install, however make sure the oil flow is the same as the flow arrow on the sticker and mount it away from heat as exhaust and wear from rubbing as outer shell is plastic
