Hey guys im new here so forgive me. I have read on several forums about the vss. But im not gaving any speedo issues or abs issues. No warning lights at all. My 4 wheel drive buttons ont the dash are kind of work intermittently but thats it. Just wobt shift out of 1st. Well i think its 1st anyway. But can he wheel sensors hhave anything ro do with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I checked the shift solenoids with my ohm meter and had continuity on both of them. I saw a video on how to check the wiring harness at the shift solenoid plugs by seeing if you had continuity to ground I tried that and had continuity the ground on one leg on each plug and nothing on the other. In the video the guy said that I needed to have continuity to ground on all four legs. I replace the VSS still no resolution. Any help would be appreciated thank you
Could the trans controller have anything to do with it?

I havnt teied to manually shift it because the gear shift cable is broke also.. I can go from park down through the gears but in order to go back up (123dnrp) i have to crawl under and move the shift lever by hand. I will try and get to where i can shift through the gears and see. Im not positve whether its in 1st or 2nd but i know about 25mph is all i can do before redline. Then when i let off gas it acts almost like its in neutral. Until i get the revs high enough to engage again. Thank you for your response.
oh and yes the indicators work. My 4x4 lights work kind of when they want to. But when i first bought it and drove it for the first time it was in 4 high. I pushed 2 high and it disengaged. So im thinking that parts is ok.

Get your shift cable fixed and check the function of the MLPS. If broken or misadjusted it will cause the symptoms you describe. When did this issue start? This component plays a huge roll in the shift schedule.
