I have a 1999, S-10 Blazer, 4.3L, it seems that there is no clearance to remove the starter, the two main mounting bolts are easy enough to remove but there is no clearance to remove the wiring or to slide the starter out. Any sugestions?

 

you should be able to back it out of the trans and drop the nose down and slid it out.
