It's your turn signal switch...and high/low beam, and wiper...lol. Occasionally, you'll hear a "clicking" noise, behind your jockey box. Sounds like your flasher (which it actually is, though your lights aren't flashing). GM did a recall in about '02 if I recall, for this switch. Worse case scenario is your brake lights won't work (except the high-mount, 3rd brake lamp) and you get rear-ended. Most auto parts stores now sell the combo switch for about $150 new, which is about $100 cheaper than your local dealer. Pretty easy to change, if you need to, without removing the wheel. Just disconnect the battery, wait a bit (so you don't pop yourself with an airbag), and turn the wheel to about 7 o'clock (top of wheel) and you'll be able to access the 2nd screw...Hope this helps! Ed

It's most likely your ECBM (brake control module). Check out www.modulemaster.com and they can re-man it for you for about $130 plus shipping/handling. Mine is doing the same thing. It'snot a very big deal. It's located by the left fender, right next to your master cylinder. It has 4 torx screws (T-20, I think) and 3 plug-ins. After you remove it, cover the hydraulic parts with aluminum foil to protect it from debris (six little "nipple-like" things). You can still drive it will the ecbm is being repaired, just your light will still be on. Take a look at some of the threads posted before this, and you'll see a BUNCH of us have the same problem. You could always try picking one up from a junk yard, but there's no guarantee it's a good one. Hope this helps!

P.S.: These are REALLY expensive from the dealer (between $400 and $600), and they only warranty them for a year. Module Master warranties their's for 5 years.

Default Will Not Start in Cold Weather

Hey Everyone!

Thank you so much for all your help with the light situation. I really appreciate it. We have another problem and not sure if the two are related. It seems the Blazer is almost impossible to start in cold weather. If the temperature outside is 40 or below, it really will not start. My husband put a light on it to keep the heat on the engine and that seemed to help. He thinks it may be some sort of sensor. Any suggestions?

Well I certainly do not think it's related to the ABS and/or PB Light... Have you taken it anywhere to see if the computer is putting out any codes? Are the battery terminals clean and tightened securely to the battery? How old is the battery?
