Anyone ever figure out the hesitation between 1500 and 2500 rpms
just as the title says? me and several other of my blazer buddies have an issue with a hesiation under load anywere between 1500 to like 2300 rpms. the engine overcomes this pretty easily. its just annoying having the engine hit a flat spot while your climing a hill. the only time this dosnt happen it seems is at WOT.
TSB # 03-06-01-024 describes a situation where the torsional vibration of the balance shaft could cause the knock sensor to think it detects detonation which would then cause the PCM to pull timing. I would get a hold of a scan tool capable of displaying the knock sensor active count and see if it isn't increasing while under load in this RPM range.
i know the parts list shows an oil pan gasket. do you know iff this is just a new front piece or a whole gasket. i dont really feel like dropping the diff again. i will take a look at the sensor readout on monday. that dose make sense though. to bad its not a recall.... thanks for the info
