Hello Ruth, if you are still looking for a good honest mechanic in Phoenix you should see the guys at 25th Street Automotive. Bill is owner . Very honest and straight forward shop - and I do recommend highly . They are not the cheapest, only due to the fact that they will not use cheap parts. They will not use the most expensive parts either they will do the fix to be repaired so you will not have any problems with the same thing later. I used to take my blazer and my woman's car there all the time for things from oil changes up to a valve job and was very satisfied. I now do most all of my repairs myself and have become pretty good at it with the help of this forum, but I do recommend these guys if you afford it. If you are looking for someone cheap I could suggest a few but would not promise you a that it would be perfect. I would with 25th Street guys. They are ASE Cert., registered with BBB and with AAA, shop is secured if car is left overnight and never had any problems. They are in Biltmore area: 4112 N. 25th Street, Phoenix - behind Taco Bell. 602.955.2637 Good luck with the fix
