Default Bad Motor Mount maybe?

What are some of the signs some of you guys have had when a motor mount is getting bad. I think the driver side motor mount in my 99 Jimmy is going bad. It groans when taking off from a dead stop very briefly. I'm interested to see if anyone has had something similar.

Pop your hood. now,get inside blazer and put it in drive. pop on gas to make it move 5-10ft. did the engine move a good amount? it'll move a inch or so,but if it twisted like it was trying to get out chances are you have a bad mount. driver side if it does it in drive, passenger side if it does it in reverse. Do this carefully.

It does only make the noise in drive, doesn't do it at all in reverse. The motor seems to move a little more than normal even at idle.

if it doesnt lift up a good amount when you test it hitting the pedal then the mounts fine. Why do you say the mounts groaning?

It's a very brief groaning/growling noise that only happens on fairly hard acceleration. Only in drive, and last for maybe 1-2 seconds. It's not real loud. If you accelerate lightly it doesn't do it. Almost sounds like exhaust vibrating on something when it happens.

Mine does the same thing, I haven't been able to figure out what it is. I am thinking it is a motor mount too.

the only thing the motor mount would cause is a weird clunk when you hit the gas while cruising. the mount doesnt really groan since its just metal-rubber-then metal.

Unfortunately I haven't had much time to look at it. Bad I know.
