Default Bad MPG

Ok i am averaging about 12 MPG. Why is this. I see alot of people getting around 20 with their blazer. Is there somthing i can do to fix this. If not i might end up selling it cause at 18 i dont make a whole lot of money and im spending around 40 on gas a week. I get aroung 180-200 miles on my tank(i think it is a 19 gal.) Also my SES light comes on occasionally and i took it to autozone and they said it was a small exhaust leak. Do not think it would affect my mileage that much though.

How long since a tune-up - plugs, wires, distributor cap & rotor, fuel filter? Do you know what the code number was? "Small exhaust leak' doesn't really mean anything. Do you have an automatic or standard tranny? Do you sit and idle the truck to warm it up or start moving soon after start-up?

I am unsure about the tune up since i have only owned it for 4 months now. I dont remember wht the code was. I have an automatic and i start it and drive.

Start by replacing all the things I listed and then we'll go from there. Be sure and use AC/Delco for the plugs, rotor, and cap.
