Well I think I found the source of all my problems, just got home from my mechanics and they think the "spider" is bad, they say 400$ to fix it (including labor). Is this fair? I cannot afford this right now and I dont know what to do...
Ok some of the problems i have been having include rough idle, hard to start sometimes, and it runs very rich. They have been getting worse and this is what I found out today. Not good news

Why did you title this thread "Bad Poppets"? Poppets are indeed part of the injector assembly but what makes you claim they are bad? You may want to look into just replacing the parts that are more common to failing on these units which is the fuel pressure regulator and the internal supply/return lines. How many miles are on the motor?

146,000 Miles, and some of the poppets are cracked leaking fuel into the engine, thats why its named that

Poppets do not just crack when installed. It is possible to crack the nylon lines when removing the spider assembly, but not likely if care is taken. Quite a few other things would go bad before this would happen, IMHO.
And cracked line at the poppet nozzle would not leak excessive fuel into the engine anyway unless it was quite bad. The flow of fuel is still controlled by the electronic injector. This would not exhibit itself like a blown FPR or leaking "nut kit" would.
Exactly how was the fault placed on cracked poppet nozzle lines? What diagnosis was done to come to that conclusion? What diagnosis has been done to find the cause to these problems you are experiencing in general? I guess I could always refer back to your other threads on this same underlying problem...

Yea, my threads have progressed through it but ill just tell ya here, first time it was in they got a hit for the oxygen sensors and egr, cleaned the egr and replaced the egr, still not working so I went back and they scanned it again, I was there but im not really sure how they came to that but three guys looked at it and thats what they came up with. Im not a pro but just by the way it smells like pure gas running im not gonna argue with them, i trust these guys plus they did the second scan for free.
