Best Tranny Rebuild Kit
Im looking to rebuild my 4L60E, has any one done this and with what kit. good bad results. I'm getting sick of driving this think and having it fell like its rowing rather then driving.
I also found a new tranny for $1,100 and wondering if that might not be the way to go.

TCI super kit and a beast sunshell, along with a Trans go shift correction kit. Do not use the shift kit included with the TCI rebuild kit.

I'm not sure which year you have but a buddy of mine used this kit and he really liked it. Comes with the Corvette servo, .5oo" oversized valve, Red Eagle band and oversized pressure valve.

X2 on the Beast Sun Shell. These transmissions have issues with the stock sized ones. The Beast is much thicker.
For $1,100 I'm sure it's not a new transmission but rather a rebuilt one. What's the warranty on that one? Most rebuilds I've seen only have a one year warranty.
Monster transmissions have a 3 year warranty and Mellinium transmissions have a 2 year for about the same price. Just Google those two and check them out. I've heard good things about them. As for me I would just rebuild my own, that way you know exactly what your getting for your money. Also check out G-men Transmission, they have a really good video on how they rebuild transmissions (on youtube) On Youtube search for "G-men the movie 700r4 transmission build." Ironically I think they may have gone out of business. But in the video they show everything to do for a solid rebuild. Heck here a go.
