Recently a friend and I changed out the A/C compressor and other components in my s10 blazer 1998 a/c is working fine, but engine seems to drag when compressor is engaged and i hear a peculiar noise like a whine when you accelerate the vehicle can someone give me a clue. I have no job and this vehicle at the most in opportune times has something major go wrong with it. I am afraid to drive it and just spent 400.00 in parts for the a/c ????

 

possibly a bad pully bearing
