So here it goes. I have known for quite sometime that my spider injectors are probably bad. For approximately three years it would always start fine if it was cold but if you stopped at the store or something for a short amount of time it would be hard to start, like it had flooded which I assume was the injectors leaking into the cylinder. It also drove like I was always towing a 5000# trailer and got about nine to ten miles to the gallon. I don't really drive that much so never really bothered me too much. Also, on a side note, if you drive it for more than about thirty to forty minutes the oil pressure drops to zero. I rarely ever drive that long and it never knocked or anything so it could just be a faulty sensor, who knows. Just trying to be thorough with my decription. Jump ahead to a few months ago and as I was coming home I noticed that it started to overheat. I pulled off on the next exit and into a publix. Let it cool down a little and saw no leak so I opened the radiator. Dry. I went inside and bought some distilled water just to get me home. Started the truck and began to poor the water into the radiaor and immediately steam shot out of what I thought at the time was the intake. Had it towed home and found out the upper radiator hose had blown a two inch hole underneath just before the thermostat. Awesome, easy fix. After that it got to where from idle if I tried to give it gas it would die. You had to be really genle and feather the gas to get it going or if I was stopped at a light I would hold the brake with my left foot and give it just a little gas to keep it just abouve idle. Now, it will turn over and start but almost immediately die. That was two months ago. I figured it had to be a vacuum that had come loose but I can't find one. Not saying its not, I just can't find it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have read multiple articles on this, but I thought that maybe with all of the history of whats been happeing someone might have a more definitive answer for me. Thank you in advance.
