I set it to tdc, that was one of my concerns when I was thinking of potential problems, so I set it to top dead center just to be sure.

Just to let anyone who may else be having this problem, I fixed it this weekend by replacing the coolant temp sensor, $10 fix from O'Reillys and everything began to run perfectly fine.

Uhh... What? Are you serious? Just out of curiousity, how would a coolant temperature sensor fix all that? I am having similar type problems with mine and I never even would have thought to replace the coolant temp sensor.... Of all the things to go wrong, a ten-dollar part?? I'm going out to get one tomorrow. Whether it needs it or not! Please post if it actually fixed the issues, I'd really appreciate it..

Well, just wanted to check to see if it fixed your issue, because mine is completely cured. I have no clue why it would cause that, but that most certainly was the cause, good luck and let me know if that was your issue!
