Default Bravada to Blazer transfer case swap.....

Is it possible to use the transfer case out of a blazer in the bravada without swapping out the front differential? I talked to an old work partner of mine and he said that I would have to use the front diff. out of the blazer because it operates differently? Is this true or is it just that the transfer case out of the bravada is a singal gear design 126 or 136 n.p. i believe..... as opposed to the 226 or 236 n.p. which is a dual gear design for the 4low correct..... Any good input would be very helpful as the transfer case is making noise in my bravada

It is a direct swap, but to make it alot more simple. You would want a manual shift transfercase. Take all the cables and center console. There is no differance in the front diff. in fact the bravada passanger side axle tube is an upgrade to the blazer one. cause it has no slip collar it just lock the front end all the time. All bravadas were awd not 4wd. Hope this makes sence to you

No its not a direct swap I just put a bravada transmission in my blazer , and sure it bolts up but it has my stock transfer case lowered down so I can put the drive shaft in for the front end . It hits the cross member , the only thing thats not the same is the tail shaft , so I think you need to get the tail shaft off the blazer to if you go that route . I could be wrong though , this is just what I have found doing my own .

i took apart the dash to inspect for the plug ins for the selector for the t-case and it is not there. I understand the t-case is the same it just has the selector for 2h,4h,4l. I just want to know if it is possible to wire it into the dash? I want the selectable 4x4. I am almost positive they bolt up to the trans the same, they are made by the same company and are the same model just 126-136 for the bravada and 226-236 for the blazer. I got a blazer crossmember for the rear.
Does anyone have schematics for the t-case wiring through the dash to the t-case?
atvworrior i am only wanting to change the t-case not the trans

I believe there is going to have to be PCM reprogramming to make it work since some changes occur when in 4LO that would not be programmed into a single speed transfer case setup. The NV236 wiring can be found in the tech section, but if you are really interested in this swap, you really should get a factory service manual set or an account on Alldatadiy.com.
