Default a c problems

2002 zr2 blazer a c compresor is not working right, checked pressure and it is 55/60. compresor kicks on and off wont stay on, even when i bypass the pressure switch, is there any way to check out the compresor to see if it is bad

You might be low on freon.

i checked the freon it was 55/60 that is were it is were it should be at 100+ temp.

I believe the freon needs to be checked by a machine that pulls it all out, and weighs it.

i am not low on feon it has to be in the compresor or some thing else

Sometimes the LP switch connector receptacles get loose on the connector. Get a dental pick and just tighten them up a little. Worked for me a a couple of other guys.

If it runs for a short period then shuts down, even with the LP switch bypassed, then you may actually have a high pressure situation which could be from an over-charge or from a plugged orifice tube.
