Default Can anyone help me describe what this is?

Hi all! I'm new here, first post so bare with me. I have a 99 blazer 4x4. Yesterday I was on my way home from work and it started making this sound(not sure of the word to describe it, see attached link). It's horrible in reverse, and it does it as I let my foot off the brake when in drive but not near as bad. We thought it was my front diff, so today I changed fluid. Still made the sound. I then took out the front drive shaft. Still making the sound. Any ideas what it could be? Like I said I don't even know the word to describe the sound its making so I wouldn't know where to start to try and research. Thanks in advance!

I can't make much of that short clip. Does it do that only when moving? What about if you coast in neutral?

In neutral it doesn't. Sometimes it'll do it when I first start it and it's in park. But mainly in reverse and drive. Tried taking 4wd fuse out and didn't make any difference. Could it maybe be my torque converter? Not sure if I mentioned in the first post. But I had to get it towed home the other night. It makes that noise and loses all its power when I try to drive it, but it doesn't die.

Here's another video of the sound it makes in reverse! Took the drive shaft out and it still makes the noise.
