Default Cap and rotar?

I'm getting codes for missfire and bad o2 sensor and possible cat. I cleaned my cap and rotar because it was caroded and the check engine light turned off for 4 days or so then came back on. Could it be possible that the codes are being thrown because it's missfiring because the cap and rotar are bad?

Take and get your Blazer scanned at autozone and see what codes come up,then go from there.I would replace the cap and rotor with new ac delco parts and use dialitic greese on the contacs of the rotor.

yes these codes can be throw as a result of a missfire. The cap and rotor can definatly casue this. Most of the time just cleaning it wont fix it.
