Default Changing oil in jasper reman engine

Hey folks,
my 2000 blazer has a jasper reman engine in it. I need to change the oil in it. Should I use regular 5w30 oil or synthetic oil? I tried calling jasper to ask, but got voice-mail. Can't get ahold of the people that put it in either. Also, how much should it take? I've seen 6 quarts and 5 1/2 quarts.
Thanks
Rob

It is your choice of what kind of oil you want to put in it. I've run mine since new on good old dino for over 20 years now and haven't had a problem. Though it seems trying to find dino is getting harder these days. When I change the oil in mine it is usually about 5 quarts, give or take a bit.

5 quarts of 5w30 of what you prefer. I have ran synthetic and regular and can tell no difference.
