Default cleaning pulleys

How do you clean the pulleys. I have replaced the serpentine belt and the noise stops for a few months than comes back only when its cold and then goes away. Now it is squeaking all the time. Please Help!! Thanks Any other suggestions?

Default RE: cleaning pulleys

What kind of belt are you using? Have you inspected the pulleys to see if they need cleaning? I would think that a simple wire brush and just spinning the various pulleys (both grooved and smooth) would be sufficient enough cleaning. You may want to wipe them down later with a rag soaked in brake parts cleaner to remove any grease/oil/etc. Just make sure that everything is all dried off before putting on a new belt. I have had great luck with the Goodyear Gatorback belt on my Bravada. Over 2 years now and still looks like new with no squeaks.
