Bought a new parts truck today and decided to crank it out of curiosity. I have a small hole a little larger than a pinhole in this what appears to be a metal hose.
I've pointed out the metal hose (The name escapes me, if someone could inform me I would be greatly appriciative)
The truck cranks and such but idles at a temp. of about 210. :/

That would be the thermostat housing. If it is leaking, replace it.
You have pictures of two different engines there, one 96 thru mid-02 and one mid-02 thru end of production. Which are you driving? You may want to include that information in your signature along with your "sup" comment.
