dead battery or bad motor?

I posted in another thread about buying this blazer with a supposed head gasket issue. Dumped the oil and it filled two one gallon milk containers plus more still in the pan and what I spilled (a lot). Very milky brown like chocolate milk I was told here the bearings were probably shot just put another motor in.
But its hard for me to justify 1000+ on labor and a used motor without trying. My plan was if it passed and it just needed an intake gasket to put the intake gasket in and see what happened
So I went to do a head test using the liquid tester to test for gas in the radiator. Put a brand new battery from autozone in and this is what I get. .
What does not come through clearly on the video is the loud bang at the end of each starting sequence.
Got the battery charging now but I am pretty confident a battery off the shelf should crank the engine?

You need to pull the spark plugs and then try cranking, sounds like it has a hydrolocked cylinder, if you get water spraying out a spark plug hole then the whole motor is toast.
Question is there water or antifreeze in the cooling system now and did it run before you put water back in it? I think i read your original post and was going to reply but i guess never hit "Post"

Someone else told you same theory i have, weep hole in the water pump leaked all coolant out, engine overheated causing warpage of cylinder head sealing surface which lead to head gasket failure which allowed combustion gas to fill the cooling system resulting in extreme overpressure condition......., hot iron block expands, pressure in the cooling system blows out the freeze plug, game over, zero coolant, meltdown, engine toast, other possible scenario is that they topped off the water pump leak with only water which eventually froze in the winter pushing out the freeze plug and then they drove or ran it with ice in the block, this would cause deformation of the cylinder walls which would damage pistons and possibly bend rods.
I really hope im wrong but if not, post it on craigslist for 800 and cut your losses or try to tackle putting a motor in it.
Good luck man, just remember, you win some you lose some, its really not your fault, usually it is much simpler and just an intake job but apparently the idiots you bought it from didnt know when to shut it off...it could happen to anyone. Pull them plugs and see how it sounds cranking like that and post back.
