Default drive and reverse are switched!!

hey everyone! im looking into buying a 94 s10 blazer and the guy told me drive and reverse on the column shifter are reversed and the truck doesnt go into park. i dont know if a previous owner put a shifter linkage in and messed it up or the transmission is messed up. and for park youd have to put it in neutral and pull the ebrake. i dont know if thats transmission problems either. any help would be great thanks!!

I'd check out the shift linkage on the transmission itself and see if you can put it into the proper gears that way. If so, I would think that the problem is with the linkage.

Remove the rod going to this bracket then Unbolt the shift arm from the transmission and flip it 180 degrees. Then reinstall the shifter rod. Has gotten installed upside down at some point. Good luck.
