This remind's me of that little ring about ten years ago where the little ring had some frillie things on it that was suppose to make the air spin in a circle and that **** did'nt work.

 

They still sell or try to sell those intake vortex plates. After a few turns along the intake just how much "swirl" will still be there?

 

Throttle plates? they do work on carb'd and tbi engines. Helps the fuel mix with the air etc. but no they dont give you 15-30 hp like they state. it does help a little on gas though.

with fuel injection that has individual injectors for each cylinder its pointless.

BUTTTTT how could those things possibly do any better than the vortec heads that do the same thing INSIDE THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER. sorry but i don't think a $3 piece of metal designed by the chinese can do better than 20 years of GM engineering.

 

Yeah, that doesn't work either.

 

My dad got one of those 'vortex' things in his old f250 and he lost 1-2 mpg with it. Needless to say he sent it back.
