i just bought 2 s-10 blazers . 1 is a 1986 with the 2.8 v6 and a nice body and interior. the other is a 1989 with a 4.3 v6 and the body is rusting off. i plan to combine the two and make a nice truck but the problem i am having is what engine should i keep and rebuild.

i dont plan on doing a lot of off road play but probably a little. i want to put in a 5 speed manual tranny to get a little better mileage as this will end up being my dd car.
any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated

 

the 2.8 sucks it has no ball the truck is way underpowered with it. go with the 4.3 very reliable mine has 230,000 miles and still runs mint
